In November last year the Drupal Association and the European Drupal community were pleased to announce that DrupalCon Europe would be hosted in the UK for 2011. Six months later and the planning for sessions, training and sponsorship is now in full flow and the conference is expecting to attract thousands of Drupal users, developers, designers and evaluators to South London’s FairField Hall between the 22nd and 26th of August.
With the release of Drupal 7, a successful DrupalCon in Chicago (3000 + attendees) and its growth in the European markets – Drupal is officially bigger than ever and DrupalCon London is looking to support this growth by being one of the biggest and most successful European conferences seen so far. The European Drupalcon’s have also seen a steady increase of growth ever since the first conference in Antwerp in 2005 which had less than 50 people. Since then DrupalCon’s have been hosted in Barcelona, Brussels, Washington, Paris and Boston.
Registration opened last month, tickets are available here!
What is a ‘DrupalCon’?
Drupal is a great piece of open source software that enables individuals and organisations to create websites, online communities and intranets. It now stands as one of the most popular and powerful open source content management systems, is used by thousands of individuals and runs over 2% of the internet.
Twice a year Drupal hosts a DrupalCon (conference) which sees some of the best developers and leading business owners cross paths, exchange ideas, find partners and conceive projects all based around Drupal. Not only does DrupalCon provide a good opportunity to network, it also provides an opportunity for the (renowned) Drupal community to get together and discuss its progress.
DrupalCon London is a must have for anybody involved in Drupal on a regular basis.
What’s new this year?
Not only will DrupalCon London deliver some refreshed sessions, speeches and training for top level developers, designers and architects, it will also cover some new topics including:

- Sponsor fair – see what the sponsors have to offer at the sponsorship fair
