Day one of the British Educational Training and Technology Show (BETT) is complete and we have made some interesting connections already with the likes of the Open University, a large Welsh schools association and linked up with an old friend, Pete Langely at the Student Room.
Thanks to the three Jennys and a Clare: Jennie from Arbor, Jennifer from Pearson and Jenny and Clare from our team for organising and presenting Pearson’s HN Global pilot product which integrates with Arbor to connect and authorise / authenticate with schools and with EBSCO for a library of resources and content. As HN Global is still in its pilot stage there was no live site for Clare and Jennifer to demo, though they still explained in depth about the partnership and the project's progress and goals. We're looking forward to show off the final site at BETT next year! But if you can't wait that long, there'll be a more detailed HN Global blog up on our site soon.
We met some founders and directors of various education organisations who had some interesting concepts to share on social networking, principles of community, Facebook and learning in higher education and schools.
