BrightLemon are now looking to expand their team of creative and dynamic web developers.

If you have outstanding experience in working within a busy digital technical role for a growing organisation, a genuine passion for all things web-based and an interest in collaborating with some of the biggest brands in the world (Vodafone, Pearson, HMRC), then this could be the role for you.


Role requirements:


  • Reporting to/working closely with Senior Developer and the Project Manager

  • Contributing to writing clean, efficient, readable code that delivers real business value

  • Working with databases

  • Interacting with MySQL

  • Working with Git version control

  • Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality

  • Collaborating with the team to find solutions to various internal challenges (i.e. development approach, product development , etc.) and contribute ideas and efforts towards those

  • Applying knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to clients

  • Working in a fast-paced web development environment


Key skills:


  • 1 years’ experience in web development

  • Testable knowledge of Drupal/PHP, HTML, and CSS, Javascript (JQuery)

  • Working knowledge of Git version control

  • General API knowledge

  • Basic understanding of SEO (desirable but not essential)

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

  • Strong team player

  • Excellent organisational skills and a positive can-do attitude

  • Logical thinker, attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to work independently on priorities to a deadline

  • A quick learner with the ability to work in fast-paced environment

  • Establishes effective working relationship with clients and team members

  • Understands the professional development process and becomes actively involved by setting challenging goals and meeting them through continuous learning

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
