We're co-founders and organisers of Drupal Camp London. Join us from 3rd-5th March 2017 for its fifth consecutive year!
2016 saw a record-breaking number of people attending the Drupal Camp London event. 600 tech-enthusiasts gathered together, in the heart of London, with one mutual interest - Drupal. The weekend was a complete triumph to the legacy of Drupal, with many of the sessions being presented to a full house, left with standing room only.
Following last year’s success, BrightLemon are extremely excited to be involved in the hosting of Drupal Camp London 2017.
What is Drupal Camp London?
If you’re new to Drupal, you may be wondering why there’s so much hype around an event. So, let us explain why it’s so great. And why you should attend.
Drupal Camps are hosted in a number of different countries around the world. But Drupal Camp London happens to be the largest Drupal Camp in Europe. The camp is a three day event in one location that focuses on the sharing of knowledge and experiences, based on many different aspects of Drupal.
The event is for everyone and warmly welcomes all levels of Drupal expertise - newbies and advanced. The aim of it is to bring together a community of developers, themers, users and those who simply have an interest in learning more about Drupal, and provide them with inspiration, connections, and opportunities for engagement with like-minded people.
So, you can learn, meet new peers, and influence others - all whilst having fun in the process.
‘You can really feel that the Drupal community is filled with love. There were many established community members making time for new ones, taking time to explain things.’- Chandeep Khosa, Imagine Creativity
Drupal Camp London provides a number of benefits for CTOs, CMOs, COOs, CEOs, Technical Directors, Marketing Directors and Senior Decision Makers. Such as, an understanding of how leading organisations leverage the many advantages of Drupal, the chance to network with similar organisations in your sector and learn directly from thought leaders via specific case studies.
Across the three days, there will be a number of sessions, keynotes, presentations, code sprints, breakout rooms, training and a full Drupal CXO day. If that doesn’t seem like enough, then maybe the food and beverages that are provided will sway you.
This year, the key note speakers will be a range of talented, passionate Drupal pioneers. Matt Glaman, an open source developer at Commerce Guys who is also the author of Drupal 8 Development Cookbook, will be the Saturday keynote. Jeffrey A. McGuire, a representative from Acquia who specialises in open source software, business, and culture, and who is also a frequent keynote speaker at events from around the world, will be the Sunday keynote. Danese cooper, chairperson for the Node.js Foundation and open source role at PayPal, who has been involved with open source since 1999 and garnered the nickname “Open Source Diva”, will be the closing Sunday keynote.
“At Drupal Camp London, some of the biggest names and most talented developers from the Drupal content management world will be descending on City to share their knowledge and open up doors to fantastic careers in design, development, project management and business analysis.” - Alex Elkins, Entrepreneurship Education Manager
What’s New This Year?
BOFs (Birds of a Feather)
An exciting new feature to be added to Drupal Camp London in 2017 will be Birds of a Feather sessions (or BOFs). These are informal gatherings of like-minded individuals, who wish to discuss a certain topic without a pre-planned agenda. BOFs allow groups to meet and discuss issues relating to regular conference sessions and talk out common problems facing the community.

From the 3rd to the 5th of March 2017, City University will graciously be opening its doors for the fifth consecutive year running for attendees of Drupal Camp London. Many guests, sponsors and organisers will be in their third or fourth continuous year.
