There is just 3 months to go until DrupalCamp takes place in London for the sixth consecutive year. Following the success of last year’s event, which saw over 500 tech-enthusiasts in attendance, DrupalCamp London 2018 is anticipated to be even bigger and better than before!
What is DrupalCamp London?
DrupalCamps are hosted in a number of different countries around the world. But DrupalCamp London happens to be the largest DrupalCamp in Europe. The ‘camp’ is a three day event, in one location, that focuses on the sharing of knowledge and experiences, based on many different aspects of Drupal.
The event is for everyone and warmly welcomes all levels and all areas of Drupal expertise - from newbies to advanced and from marketing interns to CEOs.
The aim of it is to bring together a community of developers, themers, users and those who simply have an interest in learning more about Drupal, and to provide them with inspiration, connections and opportunities for engagement with like-minded people.
So you can learn, meet new peers and influence others - all whilst having fun in the process.

Across the three days, there will be a number of sessions, keynotes, presentations, code sprints, breakout rooms, training and a full Drupal CXO day. If that doesn’t seem like enough, then maybe the food and beverages that are provided will sway you.
Drupalcamp 2018 will see a range of talented, passionate Drupal pioneers take to the stand for keynote speeches. So far, Ryan Szrama and Chris Teitzel have been confirmed.
DrupalCamp London will feature dozens of curated sessions and panels from some of the most influential people and brightest minds within the Drupal community and beyond, as well as countless opportunities for networking, code sprints and informal conversations. It provides many fantastic opportunities to those who attend, from learning to recruiting.
It’s not just Developers who attend DrupalCamp London. There is a sea of Drupal talent from all different sectors. The CxO day attendees will mostly be CTOs, CMOs, COOs, CEOs, Technical Directors, Marketing Directors and Senior Decision Makers, whilst the weekend attendees will mingle with Designers, Marketers, UX leads, Managers, C-Level and more. It’s a great chance to either network with like-minded organisations, or interact with a completely different skillset and compare notes and learn from one another.

Not all sessions at DrupalCamp London are technical. As well as topics on general site building and using Drupal, there are also subjects of Community & Business and UX. And there are also a number of different approaches that you can take towards learning at DrupalCamp London: sprints, Birds of a Feather (BoFs), ad hoc get-togethers, keynotes and, as mentioned before, networking.
As the saying goes, ‘come for the code, stay for the community’ - Drupal relies on its hyper-connected, socially active community members to keep it going. DrupalCamps are a chance for that Drupal users to see how much they’ve contributed to the growth of Drupal project and the community.

Submit a Session
If you’ve got a tech topic that you’re particularly passionate about or knowledgeable on, then DrupalCamp London encourage you to submit is as a session. But session submissions are only accepted up until 1st January!
If your session is selected, then you will receive a free DrupalCamp London ticket and the session will also be recorded for the DrupalCamp London YouTube channel.

All DrupalCamp London volunteers receive a free ticket to the event. Duties include signposting, supporting session speakers, answering questions, helping attendees and organisers in any way you can.
Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community and it also looks good on a CV if you’re looking for experience in the tech industry.
